ridge gourd chutney – green

INGREDIENTS:
1 tsp ghee
1.5 cup chopped Ridge gourd with skin
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
6 medium cloves garlic
3 green chilies
Pinch of Asafetida
2 tsp roasted sesame seeds
1/4 cup coconut
1/2 tsp tamarind
salt to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Fry cumin seeds and garlic in ghee.
Add gourd pieces and Asafetida, stir fry for 5 mins or until gourd is soft.
Add rest of items and grind to a smooth paste to make chutney to serve with dosa or rice..
